What Keyboard Does Clix Use?

The absolute king of box fighting, Clix has cemented himself as one of the best Fortnite players out there. Known for his insane pace in edits and a charismatic personality that captivates an audience of hundreds of thousands on his Twitch stream, Clix is primarily known to use two keyboards since his rise to fame.

Clix currently uses the Clix’x Cotton Candy Blue Keyboard from Matrix Keyboards with PBT Doubleshot Pudding Backlit Keycaps with Gateron Speed Silver switches.

Clix’s Current Keyboard: The Clix’s Cotton Candy Blue Keyboard

Clix is no stranger to partnering up with Matrix Keyboards to release new and exciting keyboards that he ends up using daily. His current keyboard was given to him on the 19th of December, 2021. And, he’s still using the same one to this day.

The only difference we’ve seemed to have figured out is that he alternates from Gateron Speed Silver switches to Blue’s depending on the situation. But, even those alternations have ceased to exist nowadays.

The keyboard itself is great. It is water-resistant, and has a ton of different RGB modes, including audio sync, which Clix seems to appreciate a lot. Besides that, it has a 1000Hz polling rate, and the entire keyboard is hot-swappable from the switches to the PCB to the cable.

Taking a look at the color scheme, you wouldn’t be mistaken if you confused this keyboard for Sommerset’s 60% Keyboard, which features a similar design but with pink and purple keycaps instead of blue and pink.

Here’s a quick look at the specifications of the keyboard:

CLIX'S COTTON CANDY BLUE KEYBOARD

Switch Options: 1000 Hz
Size: 60%
Hot Swappable?: Yes
Weight: 1.9 lbs

While this keyboard is generally out of stock for the most part, you can purchase it officially through Matrix Keyboard alongside the rest of the Clix x Matrix Keyboard lineup here!

Does Clix Use Other Keyboards?

No, Clix does not use other keyboards. His previous keyboard was also from Matrix Keyboards. Featuring a black and gray color scheme, the keyboard is more of a legacy version now since you cannot purchase this keyboard anymore.

The older keyboard also featured Speed Silver switches and isn’t really very different from the newer keyboard besides the difference in color scheme and the greater variety in switches. To be honest, I liked the older keyboard better. It fit Clix’s aesthetic more. However, I guess some change had to be implemented with the newer rendition of the keyboard.

Is Clix’s Current Keyboard Worth It?

No, Clix’s current keyboard is definitely not worth it unless you are a huge fan of his and want to support him. This is because the keyboard doesn’t really bring anything special to the table.

In our opinion, if you really want to get better at Fortnite and get cleaner edits, the Apex Mini Pro or the Wooting 60HE are keyboards that are around the same price range that actually offer tangible benefits for going up the $100 price mark with them having lower latency times and dynamic actuation point settings.

Besides that, the build quality is excellent, and the keyboard itself is fine. But, it certainly isn’t worth the price. If you want a keyboard exactly like this, you’ll be able to find good options in the $50-60 range such as the Razer Huntsman Mini.

Few years back I started to work from home, I needed a keyboard, I researched mechanical keyboard from A to Z. After that I needed a monitor, after that I needed a mouse, after that I needed desk, chair and other accessories. I did so much research and I figured this can't all go to waste and I started writing about what I know. Keyboards, Monitors, Mouses and other accessories. You can also at WolfofTablet where I cover a lot of stuff about iPads and Android Tablets. In the free time I like to play PS5 and iOS games.
